I borrowed Vivi but I'm not sure if the extra stats actually matter in the end. I was hoping to 1 skill the second part of Jess but had to rotate it back up with Quercus anyway. For what it's worth I did all my early runs with my own Vivi (P1) and was able to consistently hit Phase 2.
Really the hardest part is dealing with the recidivists as them proccing means the mages kill the second flashlight. Skalter is realistically not entirely needed. You can probably make do with Quercus giving Gladia more SP, however, it introduces positioning issues with Warf as Querc would have to be moved to the right, making her too far for Warf's original position.
You could move Warf to the right but there's no way to position in a way that Warf can only hit Vivi.
